Caregiver Responsibilities
As a caregiver, you may assist clients with:
- Personal care, including bathing, showering, and dressing.
- Toileting and incontinence care.
- Companionship and meaningful conversation.
- Meal preparation and assistance with meals.
- Medication reminders according to the client's care plan.
- Light housekeeping related to the client's daily needs.
- Walking assistance and mobility support, as appropriate to your training and the care plan.
- Accompanying clients to appointments or activities when included in the assigned care plan.
Qualifications
- A compassionate, patient, and dependable attitude.
- A genuine desire to help seniors maintain their independence and dignity.
- Good communication skills and reliability.
- Ability to follow care plans and communicate changes or concerns to the office.
- Caregiving experience is a plus; applicants with a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to meet applicable hiring, background screening, and training requirements.
