Home care is a different job than working in a hospital or nursing facility, and the CNAs who do best with us know that going in.
In a facility, you may care for many residents in one shift and move quickly from task to task. At Assisting Hands Home Care, you care for one client at a time, in their home, often for several hours. You will help with personal care, but much of your time is spent with your client: talking, cooking together, taking a walk, and keeping them engaged. Being good company is a core part of this role, not an extra.

- You stay on track without a charge nurse nearby

Responsibilities
- Companionship, conversation, and activities that keep clients engaged
- Assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Running errands and accompanying clients to appointments
- Documenting each visit and reporting changes promptly
Requirements
- Active North Carolina CNA certification or PCA
- Reliable transportation (not necessary to provide transportation for clients)
- Consistent availability and a strong attendance record
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions independently
