We provide one on one care in client homes throughout Jacksonville, Duval County, St
Johns County, and surrounding areas.

We are not a registry and this is not a contractor position, Our caregivers are W2 employees
of Assisting Hands Home Care.
Caregivers receive:
• Typical pay of $17+ per hour for most cases

We Work With Your Availability
Client needs vary, so our schedules do too.
Available shifts may include:
• Weekday shifts
• Weekend shifts
• Morning shifts
• Afternoon shifts
• Evening shifts
• Some overnight shifts
• Four hour shifts
• Eight hour and twelve hour shifts when available
We work to match caregivers with cases based on availability, experience, client needs,
and reasonable travel distance.

Assisting Hands is locally owned by a husband and wife team who are involved in the
agency every day. We know how important dependable caregivers are to our clients and
families.
We also know caregivers do their best work when the office communicates with them,
supports them, and treats them with respect.

What You Will Do
You will help clients remain safe, comfortable, and supported at home.
Care may include:
• Bathing dressing grooming and toileting
• Mobility and transfer assistance
• Meal preparation
• Medication reminders
• Companionship and conversation
• Light housekeeping for the client
• Errands or appointments when part of the care plan
• Reporting changes concerns or schedule issues to the office
Our clients include seniors, disabled adults, people recovering from illness or surgery, and
adults who need companionship or personal care.
What We Need From You
Our clients need caregivers they can count on.
You should be kind, dependable, professional, and honest about your availability.
If you accept a shift, show up on time, follow the care plan, treat the client with dignity, and
communicate when something changes.
Requirements
You must have:
• Active Florida CNA license or HHA certificate
• Level Two Background Screening
• Recent TB screening
• Classroom CPR certification
• HIV AIDS training
• Alzheimers and Related Dementias training
• Assistance with Self Administration of Medication training
• Reliable transportation to client homes
• Experience providing personal care
• Strong communication skills
Comfort with pets is preferred because many clients have pets at home.
