Be the Calm in Someone’s Morning
Do you have a heart for memory care and a gift for making people feel safe, comfortable, and cared for?
At Assisting Hands Littleton, we believe great caregiving is about more than completing a checklist. It’s about knowing when to offer a helping hand, when to simply sit and listen, and how to turn an ordinary morning into a good one.
We’re looking for two compassionate caregivers to support a wonderful client living with memory loss:
Weekday Caregiver: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
Weekend Caregiver: Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 AM-12:00 PM
This is a wonderful opportunity for a caregiver who enjoys building a genuine relationship with a client and becoming a familiar, trusted part of their routine.
What Your Time Together Will Look Like
Your role will be centered around helping our client feel safe, supported, and respected while encouraging as much independence as possible.
You’ll provide:
- Personal care and assistance with daily routines
- Support with getting ready for the day
- Companionship and meaningful conversation
- Memory care support with patience, reassurance, and gentle redirection
- Encouragement and engagement throughout the shift
- Assistance with maintaining a safe and comfortable environment
- A calm, reassuring presence for both the client and their family
And sometimes, the most important thing you'll do is simply slow down, be present, and meet the person where they are.
Why This Caregiving Opportunity Is Special
This isn't a fast-paced facility environment where you're caring for multiple people at once.
You'll have the opportunity to focus on one client, build trust, learn their routines, and make a meaningful difference.
For the right caregiver, this can become more than a job. It can become a relationship.
You may be the person who helps start their day with a smile, provides reassurance when something feels confusing, or gives a family member peace of mind knowing their loved one is in good hands.
Why Caregivers Love Working With Assisting Hands
We believe caregivers deserve the same compassion and support that they give to their clients.
You'll receive:
- $19–$25/hour — overtime eligible
- Consistent, predictable scheduling
- Sick pay
- 401(k) retirement program
- Paid travel time & mileage reimbursement
- Training, support, and opportunities to grow
- A responsive team that truly has your back
- The opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone's life
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is dependable, compassionate, patient, and comfortable working with individuals experiencing memory loss.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of caregiving experience in a facility or with an in-home care agency
- Experience caring for someone with Alzheimer's, dementia, or another memory-related condition
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Three professional references
- TB test within 30 days of hire
- Excellent communication skills
- A calm, patient personality and a genuine heart for older adults
If You Believe Caregiving Is About the Person, Not Just the Tasks…
We'd love to hear from you.
The best caregivers understand that memory loss doesn't change a person's need for dignity, connection, laughter, patience, and respect.
You don't have to have all the answers. You just need to bring compassion, consistency, and a willingness to make someone's day a little better.
If that sounds like you, apply today and become part of the Assisting Hands Littleton family.
Two schedules available:
Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday | 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
Come make a difference one morning, one conversation, and one moment of connection at a time.
