Job Description:
This position is primarily responsible for recruiting high quality candidates and staffing and scheduling services for the Assisting Hands® Dana Point office. The Staffing Coordinator matches caregivers with clients based on needs, preferences and skill set. This position involves extensive telephone work and interaction with caregivers, clients, and other health care professionals. The Staffing Coordinator also responds to inquiries from prospective clients to effectively increase our client base.
Education:
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred. High School Diploma/GED required. CNA in good standing a plus.
Qualifications:
Excellent telephone, interpersonal, and relationship building skills. Must be well-organized, able to multi-task and have excellent attention to detail in a flex-paced environment. This position requires at least 2 years of experience in staffing or customer service, preferably in a senior service or health care setting. Must be an efficient and effective problem solver and able to work independently.
Reports to: Owner/Administrator
Primary Duties:
- Manages job posts, and tracks applicant progress across multiple platforms.
- Interviews, selects, and onboards new caregivers.
- Matches appropriate caregivers to client cases based on personality, availability, experience, and skill set.
- Ensures all cases are covered and arranges for substitute/back-up coverage as necessary. This could include emergency coverage by the incumbent.
- Handles/resolves caregiver issues, problems, and scheduling changes.
- Identifies sources for recruiting potential caregivers, such as new job boards, job fairs, open houses, etc.
- Provides information about services to prospective clients.
- Responsible for maintaining caregiver and client files and keeping them up to date.
- Ensure CDSS compliance requirements are met and documented for all caregivers.
- Serves as the point of contact for clients, caregivers, and associated service providers.
- Works with caregivers to resolve attendance or performance issues.
- Works closely with Administrator to ensure that hours and pay rates are correct for payroll and billing rates are appropriate for invoicing.
12. Participates in on-call rotation (evening & weekends)
Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
