Assisting Hands Home Care Merrillville is hiring a Caregiver to provide non-medical in-home care to seniors and adults in Merrillville, IN and nearby communities.

Caregiver Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and transfers
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Help with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
- Assist with walking, wheelchair, and mobility support
- Provide medication reminders (no administration)
- Monitor and report changes in client condition
- Complete care notes using a mobile app
- Follow care plans and safety guidelines
Caregiver Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year of caregiving experience preferred (home care, CNA, HHA, PCA, assisted living, or nursing home)
- CNA or HHA certification is a plus
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
- Ability to pass national background check
- CPR certification and TB test (or willingness to obtain)
- Must be reliable, professional, and compassionate
- Comfortable using a smartphone
