Assisting Hands Home Care – Merrillville is currently hiring compassionate and dependable Caregivers, Home Care Aides, PCAs to provide non-medical, in-home care to seniors and adults.

Caregiver Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, walking, and transfers
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and organization
- Assist with safe mobility (walker, wheelchair, etc.)
- Provide medication reminders (no administration)
- Observe and report changes in client condition
- Complete care notes and clock in/out using a mobile app
- Follow all agency policies, safety guidelines, and infection control procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 1 year of caregiving experience preferred (home care, assisted living, or long-term care)
- CNA experience is a plus, but not required
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
- Ability to pass a national background check
- CPR certification and TB test (or willingness to obtain)
- Professional, dependable, and compassionate
- Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling and documentation
