Position Summary
The Scheduler Assistant / Staffing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating staffing and scheduling services for MMA Home Care Corp. (DBA Assisting Hands of Tracy). This role matches caregivers and Home Care Aides with clients based on skills, availability, and compatibility to ensure high quality care and continuity of service. The position requires frequent phone communication and interaction with caregivers, clients, and healthcare professionals. The Staffing Coordinator also assists prospective clients with service inquiries and helps ensure all scheduled shifts are covered, including stepping in to assist when call offs occur. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, able to think creatively when solving scheduling challenges, and willing to jump in to support the team when needed.

Education
High School Diploma or GED required
HCA/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing preferred

Qualifications
Excellent telephone communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
Minimum of 3 years of experience in staffing coordination or customer service in a healthcare setting
Experience working in senior services or home care preferred
Strong problem solving skills and the ability to think creatively when addressing scheduling challenges
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Comfortable working in a fast paced environment and responding quickly to staffing needs

Hiring Manager

Primary Responsibilities
Coordinate and match appropriate caregivers or Home Care Aides to clients based on personality, availability, and skill set
Ensure all client cases and shifts are fully staffed and arrange substitute or backup coverage when necessary
Respond promptly to call offs and fill shifts to maintain uninterrupted client care
Address and resolve caregiver scheduling issues, conflicts, and changes
Serve as a primary point of contact for caregivers and clients regarding scheduling and service questions
Provide information about home care services to prospective clients
Maintain accurate and up to date client files and documentation
Verify authorization of services with payors as required
Counsel caregivers regarding attendance, performance concerns, or scheduling expectations
Work closely with the Administrator to ensure accuracy of caregiver hours, pay rates, and billing rates for payroll and invoicing
Participate in the on call rotation as required
Assist with supervision and support of Home Care Aides
Compensation: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
