Are you the person who was made for this work?
Some people stumble into caregiving, others feel genuinely called to it. You’ve always been the one who notices when someone needs support and steps in, not out of obligation, but because it’s just who you are. Caring for others isn’t something you do; it’s something you are.
You also happen to be someone who figures it out. When plans shift and in-home care they do, you don’t freeze or wait to be asked. You take a breath, pivot and make it work. You’re warm and resourceful, compassionate and capable. That combination is rare and that’s exactly what we’re looking for. If this sounds like you and you genuinely love making a difference in people’s lives, keep reading.

Director of Client Services | Assisting Hands Seacoast NH | Portsmouth, NH
Assisting Hands Seacoast NH is a home care agency with a big heart and a simple mission: helping seniors stay happy, safe, and thriving at home. We don't just meet basic needs; we add life to our clients' years. Now we're looking for someone to be the steady, energetic, compassionate center of gravity for our clients, our caregivers and our team.

This Role Is For You If…
You've always been drawn to work that matters. Not just checking boxes but genuinely changing someone's day and someone's life. You light up when you help a family feel relieved and cared for. You feel a quiet satisfaction when a caregiver you mentored shows up with confidence. You don't clock-watch; you care-watch.

You're also someone who thrives in motion. Home care is beautiful, meaningful and delightfully unpredictable. A caregiver calls out at 6am. A client's needs shift overnight. A family has questions you weren't expecting. You don't spiral, you strategize. You're the calm in the chaos and honestly? You kind of love it.

What You'll Actually Do:
• Be the primary point of connection for clients and their families from the very first conversation through ongoing care.
• Develop personalized care plans that reflect who the client actually is, not just what they need.
• Recruit, train and support caregivers so they show up feeling confident and valued.
• Meet with prospective clients and help families navigate one of the most important decisions they'll make.
• Problem-solve in real time when care plans need to shift, because flexibility isn't optional; it's essential.
• Own the quality of care delivered under your watch, with an eye for detail and a heart for excellence.

Our Ideal Candidate Has:
• An LNA, CNA, or LPN certification (required)
• At least 2 years of experience supervising staff or delivering personal care services
• Real comfort in a healthcare or home care setting
• At least 1 year of office experience and confidence with everyday tech tools
• Current TB and CPR certification (or the ability to get both upon hire)
• A reliable vehicle and a clean background check
• A plus if you recognize ‘80’s movie references
Office management experience? Even better.

What You Bring:
• You don't wait to be told what to do, see what needs doing and you do it.
• You can hold space for a worried family member and solve a scheduling crisis in the same afternoon.
• You don't crumble under pressure; you get creative.
• You take ownership of the wins and the hard days.
• You're warm, clear and direct; people trust you quickly.
• You believe that how we treat our most vulnerable says everything about who we are.

What We Offer:
• Competitive pay + profit sharing
• PTO and mileage reimbursement
• A genuinely supportive team (we mean it)
• Ongoing training and real growth opportunities
• The chance to build something meaningful and feel it every single day

If you've been waiting for a role where your compassion, your drive, and your ability to make things happen are all genuinely needed, this is it. Come join the team.
