Location: Merrillville, IN & Surrounding Lake and Porter County Areas
Assisting Hands Home Care – Merrillville is actively hiring Caregivers, Home Health Aides (HHA), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Personal Care Aides (PCA), Direct Support Professionals (DSP), and Home Care Assistants to provide non-medical, in-home care to seniors and adults.
We are hiring in Merrillville, Crown Point, Schererville, Munster, Valparaiso, Portage, Hobart, Chesterton, and surrounding communities.

Caregiver Job Responsibilities
As a caregiver, you will:
- Assist with personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and transfers
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Help with meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Perform laundry, bed changes, and home organization
- Provide medication reminders only
- Assist with mobility and ambulation using walker or wheelchair
- Observe and report changes in client condition
- Use a mobile app for clock-in, clock-out, and care documentation
- Follow safety and infection control procedures
Caregiver Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Preferred 1 year of caregiving experience such as Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, DSP, or similar role
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
- Ability to pass a national background check
- TB test and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Dependable, patient, compassionate, and professional
- Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling and communication

Compensation: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
