Assisting Hands Home Care Merrillville is hiring Caregivers, Home Health Aides HHA, Certified Nursing Assistants CNA, Personal Care Aides PCA, Direct Support Professionals DSP, and Home Care Assistants to provide non-medical in-home care to seniors and adults in Crown Point and nearby communities.

Caregiver Job Responsibilities
Caregivers will:
- Assist with personal care including bathing dressing grooming eating ambulation and transfers
- Provide companionship conversation and emotional support
- Perform light housekeeping laundry meal preparation and organization
- Assist with safe mobility using walker or wheelchair
- Provide medication reminders only
- Observe and report any changes in client condition
- Use a mobile app for clock in clock out and care documentation
- Follow infection control safety procedures and agency policies
- Maintain confidentiality and professional standards
Caregiver Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Preferred 1 year experience as Caregiver HHA CNA PCA DSP or similar role
- Reliable transportation valid drivers license and auto insurance
- Ability to pass a national background check
- CPR certification and TB test or willingness to obtain before starting
- Dependable compassionate professional and patient
- Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling and communication
