Assisting Hands Home Care – Merrillville is hiring Caregivers, Home Health Aides (HHA), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Personal Care Aides (PCA), Direct Support Professionals (DSP), and Home Care Assistants to provide non-medical in-home care to seniors and adults in Crown Point, Lake County, and Porter County.

🏡 Caregiver Job Responsibilities
Caregivers will support clients by providing:
- Personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, ambulation, transfers)
- Companionship, conversation, and emotional support
- Light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and organization
- Safe mobility assistance (walker, wheelchair)
- Medication reminders (no administration required)
- Observing and reporting any changes in condition
- Using a mobile app for clock-in/out, care notes, and communication
- Following infection control and safety procedures
- Maintaining confidentiality and professional standards
✅ Caregiver Requirements
- High school diploma or GED

Preferred: 1+ year experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, DSP, or similar role
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
- Able to pass a national background check
- Current CPR certification and TB test (or willing to obtain prior to start)
- Dependable, compassionate, professional, and patient
- Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling and communication
