Description: This position provides custodial and personal care services to clients that contract with Assisting Hands for services under the direction of the Staffing Coordinator in compliance with the Plan of Care.

Education: High School Diploma/GED required

Qualifications: One (1) year experience in the home or long-term care setting is preferred.

Reports to: Staffing Coordinator

Primary Duties:

Grocery shopping for clients in accordance with their dietary needs and preferences.
Maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment within the client’s residence. Duties may include light housekeeping tasks such as straightening of the living and sleeping areas, cleaning the bathroom, doing laundry, and washing dishes.
Providing nutritional support and meal assistance where applicable.

Qualifications:

At least one (1) year of proven work experience as a Caregiver or in a related role is required.
Must be comfortable around pets.
Experience in a home or long-term care setting is preferred.

Infection Control & Compliance:

Adheres to agency’s infection control policies, including proper handwashing per CDC guidelines.
Follows all policies and procedures outlined in the agency’s Policy and Procedure Manual, Caregiver Handbook, and Caregiver Training Manual.

Working Schedule: Thursday (10:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
