Job Description:
We are searching for an experienced dementia caregiver to join our team. The ideal
candidate will provide essential assistance with daily activities, creating a safe, calm,
and supportive environment that promotes the client’s independence while ensuring
their comfort and dignity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cueing with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living): Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other daily activities through gentle reminders and cues.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to client preferences and dietary needs.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment, including tasks such as tidying, laundry, and other basic housekeeping duties.
- Companionship & Engagement: Engage clients in conversation, mental stimulation, and simple activities to encourage socialization and maintain cognitive function.
- Routine Monitoring: Observe changes in the client’s condition and promptly report any concerns to the supervisor.
- Adhere to Individualized Care Plans: Follow a customized care plan that meets the specific needs of each client, adjusting activities and routines as required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience working with clients diagnosed with dementia.
- Skills: Strong patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Availability: Flexible availability to work scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays if needed.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to assist clients with mobility and perform light household duties.
