Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who has hands-on experience
working with clients diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. The ideal candidate will provide essential
care, ensure a positive, calm, and engaging atmosphere, and support our client in maintaining their
independence.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Transportation: Safely drive clients to medical appointments and activities, ensuring timely
arrival and departure.
Personal Care Assistance: Help with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
assistance.
Companionship and Engagement: Foster a supportive and encouraging environment to stimulate
physical and mental activity for clients.
Medication Reminders: Provide timely medication reminders as directed by healthcare professionals.
Monitoring and Reporting: Observe changes in the client's physical or emotional condition and report
concerns to the supervisor promptly.
Household Support: Light housekeeping duties, including meal preparation and maintaining a clean
and safe environment.
Adhere to Care Plans: Follow customized care plans tailored to client’s specific needs.
Qualifications:
Certification: Current CNA license in Texas.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of CNA experience, with specific experience in caring for clients with Parkinson’s Disease.
Driving Requirement: Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for transportation.
Shifts: Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, empathy, and a calm demeanor.
