Description: This position provides custodial and personal care services to clients that contract with Assisting Hands Home Care for services under the direction of the Staffing Coordinator in compliance with the Plan of Care.

Education: High School Diploma/GED required. Florida CNA or Home Health Aid Certification from an accredited school is required.

Requirements:

Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Level II Background
CPR Certified
Home Health Aid Certification from an accredited school
HIV/AIDS, Alzheimer's, and Assisting With Self-Administration of Medication Training Certificates
Recent TB Screening
Minimum of 6 months experience as a caregiver

Desired Qualifications:

Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
Ability to effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently

Primary Duties:

Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and toileting
Provide mobility assistance, including transferring and positioning clients
Prepare meals and assist with feeding, as needed
Perform light housekeeping duties, as needed
Escort clients to appointments and errands, as needed
Document care provided and communicate any changes in the client's condition to the nurse supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-exempt, hourly

Compensation: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
