Assisting Hands Irvine and Dana Point takes a different approach to In-Home Care - we take a more personal approach by focusing on finding the right fit for both the client and the Caregiver. Whether you are looking for full-time work or just a few hours per week, we want to hear from you!
While our client base is predominantly the elderly, we also offer our services to those with chronic health issues, recovering from medical setbacks, have special needs or a disability and are needing assistance to maintain their quality of life. Our services support the individual’s choices and preferences to be in their own home and to maintain their dignity and independence. We assist clients in a spirit of concern for their welfare, gaining satisfaction and a sense of pride for the value that we add to their lives.
Qualifications:

- Proof of auto insurance
- Successful completion of California Caregiver Training course
- Home Care Aide (HCA) registered with California Department of Social Services
- CPR Certification
- Negative TB Test
- Dependable person who takes responsibility seriously
- Demonstrate understanding and practical competency of the needs described in the client’s care plan
- Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication
- Reliable smartphone with internet access and the comprehension of mobile app usage
- At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States
- Reliable transportation to and from South Orange County (San Clemente, Dana Point, Laguna Niguel, etc.)
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with personal care such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility
- Companionship by providing stimulating conversation and pleasant interactions
- Basic housekeeping tasks and food preparations with nutritional value
- Transportation to activities outside of the home such as errands and appointments
- General healthcare such as medication and medical appointment reminders
- Ensure ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) are being completed and noted in the AxisCare mobile app
- Report any incidents directly to the office staff and notate in the AxisCare mobile app
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergencies
- Responsibilities may differ case by case.

Caregivers are the heart of our business at Assisting Hands Dana Point and play an important role in the senior community. We encourage and reward caregiving excellence with above average compensation of $19.00 – $23.00/hour. We also provide training, flexible scheduling, mileage reimbursement, performance incentives and opportunities for growth. We offer an authentic and caring team approach, and our office staff works to ensure Caregiver scheduling and the care needs of clients are met. As a team, we strive to build a continuing partnership based on professional care and trust.
We are looking for compassionate Caregivers, preferably with 1+ years of experience to join our team! We have a variety of home care jobs available throughout the community of South Orange County. FLSA Status: Non-exempt, hourly.
